We are England’s only provider of subject specific Maths and Physics Teacher Training.  

We believe that every child deserves an excellent subject expert in their Maths and Physics lessons.  We train Maths and Physics teachers and support them to enter, thrive and remain in the teaching profession. ​

We recruit trainees from diverse backgrounds who bring with them a wealth of knowledge and skills that enhance and enrich their classroom practice, so they become excellent role models who inspire young people.

NMAP SCITT trainees work together with their mentor, Hub Subject Led and SCITT Leadership as part of a community of practice to learn from and contribute to a high standard of subject specific teacher training.

Our Chiltern Hub is ledby Wycombe High School ( www.whs.bucks.sch.uk) where trainees are based for one day each week when they come together to learn from our subject expert Hub Leads and share ideas and experiences with fellow Maths or Physics trainees. 

Full-time trainees spend the other four days each week at one of our fantastic placement schools, where they will build their experience and learn from some great teaching mentors, so they enjoy a flying start to their teaching careers.
